How to relate two cardtypes

Problem

Let's say you have two types: Company and Product. And you want to connect each Product to one or more companies, eg the manufacturer, the distributor, retailers, etc. How do you do it?

Solution

A very powerful way to create a connection between one cardtype and another is through Pointer cards. You can create special views of pointer relationships (and any relationship) using Search cards.

For example, suppose you have a Company card "Apple" and a Product card for "iPod", and you want to show through cards that Apple makes iPods.

One way to do so would be to create a compound names named "iPod+manufacturer" with the Pointer type, and then enter "Apple" as the content of that card.

Steps

Create the two Cardtypes, for example "Company" and "Product". To create a Company cardtype, just add a card with the name "Company" and the type "Cardtype".
