I had a card named příbuzní (relatives) and it got deformed to PA™íbuzní.  The card stopped working afterwards.

 

I understand you went the UTF transformation (when upgrading), but it would be wise to tell the people who are upgrading that their accented characters will get deformed and probably will not work.

 

For me it is not a big deal I will get the information from the backup I made.

oh, that sounds annoying.

 

my guess is that the most relevant changes came in the upgrade from 1.7 to 1.8, when we made Wagn ready for ruby 1.9 versions (with all their new handling of character encoding) and rails 3.  Still, you're right, we should certainly make a note about that.
