Michelle Obama and her family grew up not having a lot of money. Even though they weren’t very wealthy her mom put her in piano lessons when she was six and has been playing ever since. She has helped out many girls our age and has changed their lives forever. I want to celebrate all of her accomplishments and you about  women  education and then child obesity and how the fashion industry works. 

Michelle Obama is a trailblazer breaking countless barriers. I chose to do my speech on her because she was the first African American Flotus and has had such an impact on women of all ages around the world. She has been involved in numerous campaigns and various movements to help out girls in our country. In 2016 she made a company called Let Girls Learn. Over 62 million girls all over the world are not in school and half of them are adolescents. Most of the girl population are in secondary school and have low mortality rates and not enough nutrition. In 2009 Michelle Obama planted the White House Kitchen Garden that was to encourage everyone to make smarter eating choices in her family. This soon led to the Let’s Move campaign that was launched in 2010 to help all the obese kids and families around the world with bad eating habits. Michelle Obama donated lots of money to the Foster Cares around the world to help them provide healthier foods, and activities for kids to become active. After about a year of doing this Let’s Move! Campaign for child obesity has gone down an immense amount. 

Michelle Obama has always been known for her outstanding sense of style. As the first lady she was expected to wear sophisticated and appropriate clothing. Every single outfit that she has worn to significant events had a deep meaning behind it. She has talked about over 50 outfits that she has worn to different events and told the story behind them. Michelle Obama had donated lots of money to different designer companies. She also helped out a lot of beginner companies to help them get started with their career. Today I have talked to you about not only the first African American flotus, but also a strong femenest, fashion icon, and an amazing fitness trainor. Michelle has inspired so many young women to be the best person they can be. Us girls could do the stuff she has done because she made it possible for us.
