Not getting a cardtype option for adding a new card

Normally when I go to add images to card, I go through and add all the inclusions to the text, then save, then start going through the links I've just created to add cards that don't yet exist.
Only now instead of asking me what cardtype I want, it jumps straight to what I assume is a basic card. What happened?
