Spotted a bug in the wild.
Try this... create a card Example now rename it to Whatever>>Example. Observe all is well.
Now rename the card to Example<<Whatever. Weird things start to happen. First, the name of the card seems to have been renamed correctly, because it you try to rename it again it displays as expected but when you view that card after the rename, notice the title of the card (the name field) only displays Example<
