With the move of the notification interface from card footer to the new menu we lost this.

follow could gain a submenu - first item is |follow cardname| and second is something like "follow all |cardtype|"
If someone's already following the relevant cardtype, then stop graying out the "(following)" and when they hover it becomes "stop following all |cardtype|"
Hrm, the |cardtype| in my solution should be plural which is non-trivial. Could say "follow |cardtype| cards" but it seems we're trying to avoid using "cards ? --John
except for minor wording changes, this is as it's always been (same view, same logic, different place). If, for example, you go to Date, you'll see "follow all". I wouldn't anticipate changing this behavior much until we upgrade following to use sets. Close this?

oh, did we used to have both options in the footer? I get it now. I suppose we could follow your solution when we upgrade following to use sets and put all sets in the submenu? hmm...
