Created "2012" on test and it exists according to http://test.dwagn.org/recent (Nov 28, 2011) but http://test.dwagn.org/wagn/2012 and http://test.dwagn.org/card/edit/2012 show http://test.dwagn.org/wagn/size_test_for_different_views+image - which is card id 2012, see http://test.dwagn.org/card/view/2012
Found the card id, it's accessible via http://test.dwagn.org/card/view/3052
Plus cards work fine, see http://test.dwagn.org/wagn/2012+test
Let Jerry know when this is fixed.
Tried deleting the card on yi-tan and it's sort of gone - doesn't appear in searches any more, but a direct link finds it and a plus card it:
http://yi-tan.com/card/view/5103 up to http://yi-tan.com/card/view/5109
Similarly, on test: http://test.dwagn.org/card/view/3054 http://test.dwagn.org/card/view/3055

This is being fixed in wagn 1.8, which will implement the bulk of the RESTful web api, in which numeric identifiers are preceded by a tilde (~). Of course, that will rarely be seen by end users, as the id is primarily used in ajax calls.
As for the "sort of gone", that's a separate bug that allows retrieval of trashed cards with numeric identifiers. also being fixed.

Nifty. So a URL like http://www.wagn.org/~42 would find card id 42?

Yes. I just implemented this in the new code today.
