I think we've talked about this before in the comments of other issues, but I wanted to go over this separately.
Is an included card supposed to inherit the permissions of the card it's being included in?
I want my actual search cards to be Admin-only so they don't show up when users do searches. But obviously, if I'm including the search card somewhere, it's because I want the results of the search to show up. (And, also, I don't want to alter the search box on the site because then *I* can't search for my own Search cards.)
Inclusion per se cannot affect permissions; Compound names, however, can.
If I have a card named "Gerry+address" and its read permission is set to "inherit", then it will look up the read permission on Gerry to determine who can read the card. If Gerry's read permission changes, so implicitly will Gerry+address.
If permission inheritance were based on inclusions, then there would be no permissions, because you could grant yourself permission on any card by including it :)
So then the only way to achieve what I want would be through settings about what the search engine can return as a result and to what user group.
