Possible to delete an account that has made edits?+issues

One of my users made a second account while there were problems with the first. Both accounts have now made edits, so I got this message when I tried to delete the duplicate account: "Edits have been made with Marcher's user account. Deleting this card would mess up our revision records."

Is there any way to delete it now?
