Want something like:

{private+_self}

This would enable one to hard-format a private card on User cards. --John Abbe

Now you can use _self or _whole this way, and you can also just end the inclusion with with a +.

None of those address how to reference the current user (i want to type +yadda and have yadda replaced with my user name). Maybe irrelevant if the current private card thing is going away.
