allow renaming in more contexts+discussion

OK- I've got a new interesting bug. I was not able to change the name of the subcategory Finance- Fundraising. Basically, the final button was a fail. the status bar reads "connecting to server",then "done", but no changes/edits are implemented.

I don't think this is the same as phoebe's bug (hers gives no error), but for whatever reason I was able to rename hers, so I think that issue has been put to rest.
