For ticket tags, what i'd really like to show is a list of each tag plussed to tickets for item. Of course i can't do that now because tickets for item is an Auto card. (This could also then be used to, say, "give me all the cards in folder/holder X plussed to .)

Another place this would be useful is Tickets for sites using Wagn.

(set in this card title refers to any set of cards, i.e. any WQL result or Pointer).

this is basically a duplicate of plussing to WQL results

well, I guess the pointer thing is a tad different, but you could still achieve it via "refer_to".
