None of the errors (or other notices, like to note successful changes) have been showing up on the permissions subtab of the options tab.
+solution
since much of this options stuff is going to be replaced by sets/settings, no need to wait for a very general solution. I just made it use flash[:notice] without involving slot.notice at all.
