A bunch of Person cards were named via cut & paste and ended up with weird invisible characters in them that cause Wagn to not recognize them in some circumstances:
Every Person card has a +email card but you can see here that many of them do not show up: http://letstalkeugene.org.718.cldstr.com/Contact_infos
If you type a few letters of someone's name (eg "Audrey Brown") in the Search bar and then choose "go to" from the menu Wagn offers to add the card! (You can see that card exists via http://letstalkeugene.org.718.cldstr.com/Person+*type+by_name
fyi this is a Wagn that I'd like to archive and save the $5/mth, but I need to grab the contact info first. Not super-urgent, but would be nice to have a fix.
this is weird.
it seems like you can workaround by going to Person+*type+by_name, which somehow corrects things. And if nothing else you can fix the weird names that way. I wish I knew how you got in these illegal names (with trailing spaces) in the first place.
the workaround works if i'm willing to get contact info one by one :-P - let me know if there's no chance of an all-at-once fix and I'll do that I guess.
the weird-character names were cut & paste from a spreadsheet
hmm, i don't know a faster way to do it. I wasn't thinking you'd get the contact info one by one, but that you'd fix the broken names one by one. most are fine.
Archiving the site and may never use it again, so probably a waste of time to fix the names. Looking at recent changes on the site it looks as if you and I have 'touched' many of the user cards (and their children) - http://letstalkeugene.org.718.cldstr.com/recent - no idea what that's about.
And now it's working - http://letstalkeugene.org.718.cldstr.com/Contact_infos (see "Audrey Brown" again) - who knows, but I"ll take it!
I've got what I need from it. Only leaving it up in case you want to take a look, so let me know when I can take it down.
you can take it down any time. I'm wondering if this has something to do with reference updating. But I don't think I'd get around to investigating it in time to make it worth keeping it up.
