Account emails not going through

Is there a place to look to confirm that the system did in fact send an invite email like I told it to?
Someone said they tried ot request an account, but the system never got that request. I'm assuming Cloudflare ate it because they made the request through a cached page. I removed the caching from all /account/ pages, which means it should be going direct.
But I also went to the site via IP address and invited her that way, and she said she never got an email. I wanted to look to see if the there's a record of it even being sent.
This used to work just fine, so I'm just looking for a place to start trying to fix it. I'd set up her account for her completely manually, but I don't think I can set a password for a user, right?
