A content management system (CMS) is a software application used to run websites and other digital media formats. It usually lets you control who sees what and what goes where. For example, Drupal is among the best-known open-source CMS's.
Wagn makes a great CMS because its permissions system provides a lot of control over who sees what, and its nesting allow a lot of control over what goes where. So it's possible to use and re-use the same content in many contexts without having to compromise integrity or appearance.
It's quite unusual for something that offers the functionality of a Database to look attractive enough to serve as a CMS. Wagn's trick is getting its priorities straight. We emphasize simplicity, always working to eliminate conceptual and visual noise. We don't plaster menus all over the place, but we do make them very easy to access with mouseovers. We also care about consistency, so that learning your way around Wagn structures doesn't take much learning at all.
