Twitter widget not rendering

I made an HTML card with a Twitter widget in it to show my recent tweets and it rendered a link but not the feed. I went so far as to put the HTML into a custom layout for the card (directly, with no inclusion) and it still doesn't work:

http://johnabbe.wagn.org/John_on_Twitter

The layout: http://johnabbe.wagn.org/Twest

For comparison, I made a plain HTML file and uploaded it and that works: http://ourpla.net/twest.html

Guessing this may affect other services...

If I add ?view=raw to your URI, I get the feed. Try some different views, I think.

So that helps diagnose the problem, but we'd like it to work when someone links to it without specifying a view, yes?

the problem appears to be that the embedded script has a url regexp that Wagn thinks is a url and that url is getting parsed and turned into a link.

I'm not entirely sure what the solution is. It's clear that HTML cards need to parse formal links and inclusions (that is very widely used), but perhaps they should not parse inline urls?

You mean have Wagn parse [[]] and {{}} stuff but not "http://whatever" in HTML? Yeah, I think that sounds right. make HTML cards skip url autodetection

Could this be the problem with Embedding YouTube videos doesn't work as well?
