can't change email address of account

Tried to change the email address of an existing account on johnabbe, and when i tried to save changes, got:
INVITE_SENDER: can't be blank Chasing a memory, i dug through old versions of Config on English and found *account+*from. Created that card on johnabbe but still get the same error.Rats. Issue with card:
Perhaps related: i gave the current address to our forgot password interface and got a message saying "The account associated with that email address is not activated." The account isn't blocked or anything.
Ethan and Lewis have accounts there, and permission to admiinstrate accounts. Let me know if you need more access.
I updated the invite_sender_ids through the database. They were all blank. And pretty much all created in March, 2008. not sure how the data got bogus.
