Okay... let's take the superobviouslysimple search card
{ "type": "User" }
and include it here:
Okay, now we can try hoisting up onto that card, and see what happens RSS wise---
Results are in! We get the same whatevah.rss card creation form that we get over on our own Wagn.
Ah, so! No, there's some difference here-- the Type dropdown for the main Wagn has a whole bunch more
cardtypes... but nothing labelled RSS or feed or anysomesuch...
Hmm...
There is no RSS or feed cardtype. The feed URL for that card is http://wagn.org/wagn/cliff_longino+playpen+simplesearchcard.rss and you can always find such URLs by going to the card's page (e.g. http://wagn.org/wagn/cliff_longino+playpen+simplesearchcard ) and clicking on the feed icon in your browser. Thanks, John... and I am still confused. Here's why:
The reason I was hypothesizing an rss/feed cardtype is that when I click on the feed icon, or when I hit a this+that.rss url directly, i get a create-new-card page:
Currently, there is no card named "cliff longino+playpen+simplesearchcard.rss", but you are welcomed to create it.
I get the same thing when I click on the feed for the Recent link on the top bar-- it asks me to create a card for *recent changes.rss. Searching from the search bar, however, does give me a good feed link/icon. Searching for 'cliff' takes me to wagn.org/search/cliff. From there, I click on the rss icon, my reader kicks in, and I get a good feed.
Am I missing something, still? --cliff longino
Nope, you have found a bug. Thanks! I opened a ticket: fix feed links offering to create a card
