Currently, a content-formatted card still has real data in the database, and in most cases users don't see it. However, there's at least one situation where they do
In the changes tab you don't see the raw data for the card itself, you see the raw data for the formatting card. Doesn't seem to belong in this card.
As for showing the card's raw data, when (other than "raw") would it make sense?
Memory fail on the Changes tab; removed from +issues. Vague sense this may be an issue elsewhere, but if i don't think of anything else that narrows things nicely.
This Idea was more about *not* showing raw in places where we don't want it; not aware of anyplace i'd like to see raw other than view:raw.

Renaming this idea.

So I'm actually pretty happy with the current behavior. "raw" shows you the card's unprocessed data in all contexts. My thinking is that pretty much anything else would not be raw.
Is there another idea on the table?

Closing; see be consistent about text, non-text, and formatted cards
