On http://test.dwagn.org/ if I type "Favorite quotes" into the search bar and then try to add the card Wagn names it correctly. On http://co-intelligence.373.cldstr.com/ the same attempt gets a URL with it pluralized but the card creation header shows it singular and if you create the card it is singular.

looks like that server is a couple of patch versions behind.  that would be my first guess.  good news, at least, that the newer version has the correct behavior :)

Something that I have noticed is that a mention of a cardname in a link or include can set the initial cardname, or at least that's what it seems like.

In my example, I referred to the card without capitals, then created the card independently (not using the missing link to create it), and it showed up with the capitalization from the initial reference. I guessed this was because the card got created as 'new' when I referred to it, then the card-creation found that card and used it.

Well, maybe this is different, but it could be related.

can you reproduce that gerry?

--Ethan McCutchen.....2013-05-07 17:30:50 +0000

Seems like it. Created this card first: http://gerry.wagn.org/Test_referrer

Then I used a capitalized form, but it defaulted to the name in the reference. I am also uploading the screen shot of the create.

And I tested again after clearing the cache and it worked right (i.e. I got the capitals as expected, not like in the screen shot)

--Gerry Gleason.....2013-05-07 17:41:54 +0000

ok, nice. so presumably the issue is that a name variant is getting cached and is overriding the current name.

So, is this also the underlying issue with the original problem reported too? Or is that still TBD?

--Gerry Gleason.....2013-05-07 17:46:53 +0000

I suspect you are correct that they're linked.
