Seems like a Module/Extension thing, yes? Would the current plan for Wagn 2.0 Modules allow for this? Would it require the live-editable cards to have their own cardtype, or could it be a setting?

I hope so, it is a really interesting use case. I guess what we would want is to pull the card contents into etherpad when you open the live frame and store it to the card at the end. I'm not sure how hard it would be to hack the etherpad code to load/store from wagn and how that would integrate with their "timeline" base version stream.
