This is actually pretty hard. It wouldn't be tough to do this on the initial rendering of an open setting, but when you add a new setting value, the currently active setting would change and we would (often) need to update the "current" setting at that point. That's the challenging part.
One question is: would it be worth it to have this highlighting if it was only accurate when you opened (or reopened) the setting?
Sounds rather confusing if it doesn't update.

this is obviated by new settings interface, which never shows more than one rule at a time.
